Emily Railsback is having an art show entitled “A Juxtaposition in Peruvian Life”—paintings and photography focusing on some of the social issues in Peru: THURSDAY, NOV 12 from 7-9pm at Little Pleasures Coffeehouse. There will be live music and coffee/food for sale as usual.

INTRO TO EDUCATION
INTERTERM 2010 MEETING:

EUROPE TRIP MEETING
For students going on the European trip during Interterm, there will be a meeting Wednesday, November 4 at either 4:00 or 7:00 pm in Lohrenz 36.
EDUCATION MAJORS..…
The Education Department will administer basic skills tests in the next few weeks. Students pursuing a degree in Elementary or Secondary Education who have not taken or have not passed these tests need to plan to do so at this time. Students must pass these exams before being admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Students enrolled in Introduction to Education for Interterm 2010 will take these tests during Interterm. The WRITING EXAM will be administered Tues, Nov 17, and the WORKKEYS READING EXAM on Tues, Nov 3. Buy your tickets at the bookstore. VOCAL COMPETITION
This past weekend Tabor students competed against the likes of KSU, WSU, Friends, Bethel, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and UN-Kearney, among others from Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming. Six of our events advanced to the semifinal round: Kayla Vix in upper division music theater, Darren Enns in junior men classical performance, Hanna Bishop in sophomore women music theater and classical performance, and Aaron Stepanek and David Vogel in sophomore men classical performance. Darren and David both advanced to the final round; Darren placed 5th, and David took 1st. Maria Loewen is Darren’s accompanist, and Naomi Toews is David’s.
THREEFOLD EVENT
Tabor alums, Jonathan Regier, Landon Tucker and Michael Woods are returning to Tabor for a Threefold Event, November 6-8 in the Chapel. Tickets for the whole evening are: $5/general admission and $3/Current Tabor students. Purchase your ticket in Student Life Office or at the door. This is a no-pass fundraising event.
