MWC Vision:
Mennonite World Conference (MWC) is called called to be a communion (Koinonia) of Anabaptist-related churches linked to one another in a worldwide community of faith for fellowship, worship, service, and witness.
General Secretary:
The GS, as the chief executive officer, is responsible to oversee MWC activities and facilitate the communication of the MWC vision and mission. The General Secretary, in carrying out his/her responsibilities, will work with the President in articulating the vision and mission of MWC and serving as the official representatives.
Qualifications:
1. Love for Jesus Christ and the worldwide community of Jesus’ people
2. Active membership and engagement in a local congregation that belongs to a member church (national conference) of a Mennonite World Conference
3. Commitment to Anabaptist theology as expressed in the MWC Statement of Shared Convictions
4. Commitment to the MWC statement of vision and mission
5. Commitment to and vision for the church as God’s chosen instrument for the redemption of the human community
6. Proven leadership experience, administrative capability and capacity to delegate
