Tabor College will be performing “Steel Magnolias” during Family Weekend, Feb. 17-19 and an additional performance is planned for Feb. 24.
“Expect plenty of laughter and a bit of heartbreak from six small-town Louisiana women who spend a good deal of time together in Truvy’s Beauty Parlor,” says Judy Harder, director of this comedy-drama.
Fragile as magnolias and tough as steel, they deal with whatever life sends their way, adding doses of spice and humor whenever possible.
This group of loveable and spunky characters are played by Becky Steketee (Hillsboro, Kan.), Alisa Lynn (Olathe, Kan.), Hannah Vogt (Newton, Kan.), Hannah Evans (Wichita, Kan.), Sydney Coughlin (Visalia, Calif.) and Sarah Wyckoff (Blackwell, Okla.).
Performances are Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 1:30 p.m., Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and Friday the 24th at 7:30 p.m. The drama will be held in the Theater Lab in lower Lohrenz.
