Rehearsals for Tabor’s homecoming musical, “Oliver!” will be begin as soon as students return to campus! Many of the characters, including Oliver, have been cast and a complete cast list will be announced at the end of August.
We are excited to bring this much loved and award-winning musical to life on Tabor’s campus.
Based on the Charles Dickens literary classic Oliver Twist, this heart-warming musical follows a spirited orphan on his journey through the colorful underworld of 19th-century London in search of love and acceptance.
As one reviewer noted: “Though Dickens had a rather grim worldview – cold, hunger, poverty, loneliness – he added enough light, humor, grace, and goodness to suggest redemption for humanity.” This musical version certainly celebrates Oliver’s experiences of love, family and home.
